Activity 3

Start - give context for the day a bit of history and the fact that kings won all the championships

Act 1 - Johnny A’s energy for the 800’s

Act 2 - The tactic usually is to push better athletes up age groups in order to balance out the score as much as possible. Unless on the day, we have no chance of winning 1 trophy, all the eggs will be thrown into another trophy’s basket because we’d still have a realistic chance at winning. This happened for the intermediates, kings ended up winning that trophy by 1 point.

Act 3 - Kings’ clean sweep of winning the senior trophy by 105 points - how these athletes had been nurtured from a young aged to perform at this amazing level

End - the discovery that it wasn’t about the championships, but about the training, the preparation, the relationships, the lessons, and how that’s carried people forward to today
